Penn Cove Consequences of Mussel Raft Culture

Mussel Colonization of the rocky beach-mussel spat escaped from rafts and are one foot deep.  Dying ones rot in the sun, stinking and attracting yellow jacket bees.  Very hazardous walking conditions.  The spark that ignited APHETI. 1997
